Netease’s comic-inspired Hero-Shooter Marvel Rivals has been making a splash, with players eagerly anticipating the beginning of the game’s first season of content additions. So to help you prepare, here’s when Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is expected to start.
When does Marvel Rivals Season 1 Begin?
While Netease has not released a firm date, Marvel Rivals Season 1 is expected to start on January 9, 2025. This is because the new season will bring a new battlepass, and January 9 is when the current one ends. As a side note, while battlepasses in Marvel Rivals don’t expire once the luxury track is purchased, they are only available to purchase for a limited time. Additionally, any battlepass currency (chronotokens) will be lost when a new season starts, though there are exceptions for those purchased with Lattice.
What’s Coming in Marvel Rivals Season 1?
While there have been many leaks, little has been confirmed for Season 1 of Marvel Rivals but many players expect new skins, characters, and team-up interactions. What is almost certain is that a new battlepass will arrive, likely containing several of those skins, and Netease also recently announced that the Fantastic Four would be coming to the game. While the Fantastic Four don’t have a release date, a trailer is scheduled to release on January 6, 2025, just before the expected start of Season 1. Until then, we will have to wait and see.
