Mages turned Corpse Party from a standalone PC game into a series. The PSP sequel, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, was developed in house at Mages with an original story that plays more like one of 5pb’s adventure games. We asked Corpse Party producer Yasuhiko Nomura what he wants to do next with the series.

>"In the true ending of Corpse Party, the survivors return to the real world, but the characters that died did not come back. They stayed dead. In Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, they are somewhat successful at reviving Mayu, but only partially because her face is still covered with a black spot. Book of Shadows ends on a cliffhanger so we want to finish the story that takes place with the same characters from Heavenly Host," Nomura said.

The Corpse Party series from Mages will continue with Corpse Party: Blood Drive on PlayStation Vita, which is slated for release this year. Xseed localized Corpse Party and Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. We hope they’ll pick up Blood Drive too.
