What’s New in Warzone Season 1?

With the Modern Warfare 3 ‘reset’ of Warzone, players can expect a brand-new map in the form of the Urzikstan map. The map features horizontal zip lines to help you get around that little bit quicker, as well as a drivable train that I’m all sorts of excited to get behind the… wheel(?) of myself!

This will all be accompanied by five new weapons, nine new aftermarket attachments to kit out your weapons, and a whole host of new store offerings for you to spend your COD Points on. Ashika Island and Vondel will also return for some map variety should Urzikstan not be to your tastes. Quality of Life changes and movement improvements like slide canceling, Tac-Stance, ADS while sliding, running while reloading and a movement boost when using the Stim Tactical are also coming to Warzone in the Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 overhaul.

What’s New in Modern Warfare 3 Season 1?

Modern Warfare 3’s new season will usher in the arrival of three new maps at launch and one arriving mid-season. These are:

  • Meat
  • Greece
  • Rio (Mid-Season)
  • Training Facility (2v2)

New Killstreaks — EMP and Swarm — will also arrive, as will a whole host of new game modes. Gunfight and All or Nothing will kick things off, while Ranked Play, Headquarters, Team Gunfight and Infected will arrive at a later point in-season.

Finally Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ) will also see the release of new story missions, Dark Aether Rifts, the V-R11 Wonder Weapon, new schematics, prestige challenges and a new warlord will arrive in-season, too.
