What Season is Diablo IV On?

As of now, Diablo IV is in Season 5: Season of the Infernal Hordes, which added an exciting new mode that lets players face off against waves of enemies in the Well of Hatred. However, Season 6 is fast approaching, launching on October 8, 2024, alongside the Vessel of Hatred expansion.

This upcoming season will introduce a new class, region, and several significant changes, including an overhaul to player progression. Notably, the level cap is shifting, with the max level changing to 60, though capped players will drop to level 50 at the season’s start.

Seasons in Diablo IV typically last three months. With each new season, players must create a new character starting at level one to engage with fresh content and earn seasonal rewards. Once a season concludes, characters transfer to the Eternal Realm, preserving all progression made during the season.

Previous seasons have introduced a wide variety of content:

  • Season 1: Season of the Malignant brought a new storyline and the Malignant Heart mechanic.
  • Season 2: Season of the Blood introduced vampiric powers and new endgame bosses.
  • Season 3: Season of the Construct featured a robotic companion and the Vaults dungeon type.
  • Season 4: Season of Loot Reborn revamped the loot system and included a new campaign.

Each season refreshes the gameplay, ensuring long-time fans and new players have a reason to return. Season 6 promises to build on this foundation, and with the addition of new features and gameplay systems, it’s set to be another pivotal moment for Diablo IV’s ongoing journey in Sanctuary.

Diablo IV is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Vessel of Hatred expansion release date is October 8, 2024.
