Many players are unable to launch Diablo 4 as they are getting hit with a license validation error message. This guide will explain what Unable to Find a Valid License in Diablo 4 means.
Unable to find valid license in Diablo 4 explained
Many players have been trying to log into Diablo 4, only to be greeted with the dreaded “Unable to find a valid license” error message. Before you panic, no, your account isn’t broken. The reason you are getting this message is that the Diablo 4 servers are down, so the Blizzard Battle.net client is unable to verify your game’s license.
If this is happening to you, there is no fix until the servers are back up. For the latest updates, follow the ServerStatus account on Twitter, which actively tracks the status of Diablo IV. You can also look at the official Diablo social media accounts, which will announce when a fix has been put in place.
Are Diablo IV servers down?
As of April 4th, 2024, the Diablo 4 Servers are completely down on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Yes, the entire system has gone offline. As a result, millions of players are unable to log in as the license tied to their accounts can’t be “verified.”
As for when the Diablo 4 servers will be back, we don’t currently have an estimated time. Because this isn’t a scheduled maintenance, it’s unclear how long the game will continue to be down. However, make sure to read our How Do I Check Diablo IV Server Status guide for more information on how to check when the game is back online.
Diablo IV is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
