The June 2024 Nintendo Direct is fast approaching, and with it, the announcement of lots of different games which we can expect in the second half of this year. Nintendo hasn’t said a lot about the event yet, but we do know some things about what to expect. This is everything we know about the June 2024 Nintendo Direct.
June 2024 Nintendo Direct Date
Nintendo hasn’t yet released a date for the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, but we do know that it will happen in June based on previous years. We’re almost halfway through June already, so we can expect it to be held sometime in the last two weeks of this month.
Last year, Nintendo Direct was held on June 21st, so we’re probably going to see it held around that time this year, too. If last year is anything to go by, we could see the Direct being set for Friday, June 21, 2024. Of course, it could be moved to the following week which would put it around June 24th.
Where Can You Watch the June 2024 Nintendo Direct?
You can watch the livestream of the June 2024 Nintendo Direct on Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. If you miss the livestream, you’ll be able to watch a video of the events on Nintendo’s YouTube channel.
Will the Nintendo Switch 2 Be Announced?
Although we don’t know for sure what exactly will be announced during the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has already come out and said that they will not be releasing any information about the Nintendo Switch 2.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is the informal name for the successor consol to the Nintendo Switch, which was released in 2017. In their announcement, Shuntaro Furukawa, the president of Nintendo, said that more information would be released later this year, but not during the June 2024 Nintendo Direct.
What Games Can We Expect To See At The June 2024 Nintendo Direct?
Nintendo hasn’t released anything about what we can expect to see at this year’s Nintendo Direct, so we’re mostly just seeing speculation right now. We could see more information about previously announced games like Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, Sonic x Shadow Generations, and one of Level-5’s many titles.
We might also be seeing our fair share of remakes like a Legend of Zelda entry, Dragon Quest, or other Nintendo titles. Perhaps this could be when the Final Fantasy IX remake is announced?
