Last week, Japan had two major releases with Namco Bandai’s latest mecha crossover game in Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers, Spike Chunsoft’s Zero Time Dilemma, and more. Here’s Media Create’s weekly video game sales data of software and hardware that sold in the week of June 27 through July 3, 2016.

At the top of the list is Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers with a one-two punch of #1 for the PS4 version with 70,392 copies sold along with the #2 spot for the PS3 version that sold 38,715 copies sold for a total of 109,107 copies between the two.

Those are decent numbers, but definitely on the lower end for Bandai Namco’s mecha series. It’d be pretty difficult with all the variables to get a proper comparison with past titles from the series, but to give you an idea, 3rd Super Robot Wars Z sold 270,669 copies between PS3 and Vita back in 2014, and The 2nd Super Robot Taisen OG sold 217,710 for the PS3 alone back in 2012.

As far as other new titles go, Dragon’s Dogma: Online Season 2 [Limited Edition] took the #9 spot with 7,590 copies sold on PS4 in its first week. Shovel Knight’s amiibo Set debut finished #13 with 6,518 units sold for 3DS.

Okay, we made it this far but haven’t mentioned Zero Time Dilemma yet, but here we go. Unfortunately for Spike Chunsoft, their latest adventure game didn’t do too well, as the PlayStation Vita version of the game only managed to sell 5,375 copies while the 3DS version only sold 3,916 copies in its debut for a total of 9,291.

Looking back at the previous entries from the series—Zero Escape: Last Reward sold 7,890 copies on 3DS and 6,133 copies on PS Vita for a total of 14,023 between the two, and Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors sold 16,967 units on Nintendo DS in its first week. While it’s evident that the game didn’t perform too well in Japan, it has been well-received with generally favorable reviews, so hopefully it’ll continue doing well on a global scale.
