Ghostlight is preparing another port. The publisher is bringing Way of the Samurai 3 to Windows PCs. The game will be released on Steam. In the official announcement, Ghostlight said, “it’s been one of the most requested Steam releases in recent years.”
The Sengoku era is the setting for Way of the Samurai 3. People create a custom samurai and go around Amana, behaving however they please. You can be good, evil, or indifferent, choosing who you make your allies and enemies. This is determined by responses when talking to people, as well as whether you fight out all your problems or use subtle interactions and more peaceful approaches to solve conflicts. Samurai Points and Titles will all be doled out as a response to your actions, with over 20 endings available based on your behavior.
There’s no release date for Way of the Samurai 3 yet, but Ghostlight’s post says it should come to Steam in “the very near future.” A release date will be announced after its closed beta, which the company says will start “shortly.”
Way of the Samurai 3 is immediately available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It will be the second Way of the Samurai game on PCs, as Ghostlight released Way of the Samurai 4 on Steam in 2015.
