While the Xbox 360 is getting plenty of shmups take a look at what Eastasiasoft is going to release for the Playstation 3.

There’s Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer for you and the PC version is scheduled to ship out this winter. I wasn’t sure what to make of the project when I first heard about it, but the R-Type-ish shooter isn’t looking too bad. Nothing revolutionary, but it’s a smooth running, original shmup.
