Watch the Sosuke Aizen Bleach Rebirth of Souls Awakening and Reawakening

When the Bleach Rebirth of Souls March 2025 release date was announced, we also learned that antagonist Sosuke Aizen would be a part of the playable roster of characters. Now, Bandai Namco shared a better look at what that means for us as players. The latest round of gameplay footage highlights some of the villain’s moveset, as well as his both Awakening and Reawakening forms.

The gameplay video begins by showing the former Gotei 13 Squad 5 captain in the uniform he adopts after leaving his post. After he discusses strength, we see him use the Spiritual Pressure Move 1: El Escudo. This involves him using a guard gauge to raise a shield. The Hado 90: Kurohitsugi Spiritual Pressure Move 2 is a forward-slashing attack. His Awakening comes up at the 45 second mark, which includes spoilers for the Arrancar arcs of the story. This involves him using the power of the Hogyoku. At the 52 second mark, his Reawakening happens and we see the fourth phase of that fusion.

Given what we know, we can guess at the next Bleach Rebirth of Souls character trailer to appear. It should be a video highlighting what Shigekuni Genryusai Yamamoto is capable of when he steps into the ring in the fighting game.

Bleach Rebirth of Souls will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 21, 2025. The Bleach anime, including Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, are streaming on on Disney+ and HuluViz Media handles the manga series outside of Japan.
