Watch the Scarlet Nexus Opening Movie

One of the things Bandai Namco’s been talking a lot about when it comes to Scarlet Nexus is its introduction and theme song. Now, we get to see everything pulled together. The Scarlet Nexus opening movie is online, and it lets us see how Oral Cigarettes’ “Dream in Drive” pairs with the game’s characters.

The thing is, this isn’t the most helpful video when it comes to envisioning how the game works. Rather, it’s a more artistic take at highlighting the characters and their special abilities. We get to see the two protagonists, Kasane Randall and Yuito Sumeragi, initially. Then, we get to see other cast members.

While it doesn’t exactly show how their powers work, it hints at them. For example, Kyoka’s appearance in the opening movie is a good example. Her power is duplication. At the 38 second mark in the video, we see multiple copies of her appearing to “attack.”

Here’s the Scarlet Nexus opening movie, which pairs animated looks at Kasane, Yuito, and their teammates. After about the one minute mark, you can see an animated fight.

Scarlet Nexus releases for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 25, 2021. An anime adaptation is currently in development.
