It’s Wednesday, which means it is once again time to watch Siliconera play a game! This time, instead of a live stream, we have a video preview for you. It is just under 20 minutes of gameplay from YIIK: A Postmodern RPG. This is a RPG set in a modern world with metaphysical and supernatural elements to it and turn-based battles. A recent college graduate named Alex learns there is more to his world than he thought when he sees a young woman he just met named Semi "Sammy" Pak stolen away from our "reality" by an unknown creature known as an Entity. He then begins to investigate her disappearance and see if there is a way to bring her back.

This segment of YIIK: A Postmodern RPG is taken from about just over three hours into the game. Alex and his friend, Michael, have received a tip about another young woman who seemingly disappeared like Sammy. After leveling up in the Mind Dungeon at the phone in Alex’s home and doing more research at an internet message board, the two team up with Vella, a woman who seems to know something about Entities like the one who took Sammy and other metaphysical things, to meet the brother of the other girl that disappeared. They head to Wind Town, but realize that the man who contacted Alex online did not leave his contact information.

YIIK: A Postmodern RPG will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC on January 17, 2019. A PlayStation Vita version is also planned.
