Wai Wai Wi-Fi, D3 brings light gun games online

I’m not surprised to see an online shooting game for the Wii, but I never thought D3 Publisher would pioneer the gameplay. The Simple Wii Series Vol. 6 Wai Wai Combat allows six people to meet up via Nintendo Wi-Fi and shoot each other with toy weapons. Don’t have wireless internet? Four people can blast each other with the Wiimote locally in a split screen mode.

I suppose Call of Duty fans will gawk at the lack of realism and complain at the kiddy graphics. However, I’m captivated by the Wai Wai Combat because it’s essentially an online light gun game from an unlikely source. Perhaps, Sega should pay attention at D3 Publisher’s game too. The Wai Wai Combat could be a prelude to a 2 Spicy port with Nintendo Wi-Fi play.
