Viz Media Is Localizing Hobonichi’s Ask Iwata

Viz Media announced it will publish the Hobonichi collection, which gathers together interviews and writings from, about, or that involved the late Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata, in English. It will launch digitally and physically in Spring 2021.

Here’s Viz’s announcement. The full English title will be Ask Iwata: Words of Wisdom from Nintendo’s Legendary CEO.

The Iwata Asks book was released in Japan back in 2019. At the time, Hobonochi noted that it heard people’s requests for translations. At the time, it said the following:

Needless to say, it is our wish to spread the words and philosophy of Mr. Satoru Iwata to as many people of the world as we can. Currently, nothing is definite yet, but we are preparing publication of “Iwata-san” in various languages in consultation with Tuttle-Mori Agency.
