Visual Novel Sekaiju: Yggdrasil Gets A Demo, Crowdfunding Campaign

Prose Edda has released a demo of its “slice of life” visual novel Sekaiju: Yggdrasil for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. You can find the downloads on the game’s Indiegogo page where the team is hoping to raise £10,000 in funding.

 

Sekaiju: Yggdrasil follows Yamakazi Kusanagi as he wakes up in Alfheim, the land of elves, after a big earthquake back home caused him to crash his car and die. He has to work out how to get back to Earth as well as investigate any connections that the earthquakes might have to the shakes in Alfheim. As if that wasn’t enough, he also get ties up in trying to figure out who is attempting to assassinate the princess of Alfheim.

Sekaiju: Yggdrasil is fully voice-acted in English and contains some dating sim elements mixed in with the game’s story telling. The money from Indiegogo will be put towards creating art, finishing programming of the game, and paying musicians.

 

You can put down £10 for a digital copy of Sekaiju: Yggdrasil on the Indiegogo project. The soundtrack can be added at £15, while a physical copy of the game requires a minimum spend of £20.
