Pretty concept art from Final Fantasy XIV shows the game’s three city-states (three areas again?), but we only have details about Limsa Lominsa, a sea town said to be built from armada scraps. Shipping is the city-state’s main source of income and the Knights of the Barracuda protect the routes from pirates and bandits.
There may be an explanation to why Final Fantasy XIV’s races look strikingly similar to the races in Final Fantasy XI. The description for the Miqo’te (catgirl / Mithra-like race) reads “during the Age of Endless Frost, as the seas turned to ice and the passage over them became possible, Eorzea saw an influx of foreign fauna to her shores. This in turn brought the hunting tribes which subsisted upon them, the modern descendents of whom are today known as the Miqo’te.”
Could the Mithra be the “hunting tribes” that evolved into Miqo’te?
