Vibrant Arena Shooter We Are Doomed Now Available On PS4, Xbox One, And Steam

Vertex Pop has released its big, brash, and colorful twin-stick arena shooter We Are Doomed on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for PC and Mac.

It has you zapping polygonal baddies with an overpowered laser beam. But don’t be fooled into thinking this is a power trip as it’s the limitations of that laser beam that gives We Are Doomed its challenge.

While your laser beam will zap anything that gets in its path, it is only capable of short-range bursts, which means you have to maneuver in quite close to your enemies as they shoot you from far away with smaller projectiles. Luckily, enemies do drop purple trinkets that you can collect to charge up your SUPERBEAM that sends an enormous beam across the entire screen for a short time. But you’ll still be just as vulnerable during this blast.

We Are Doomed is a high-score chasing kind of game with no unnecessary fluff. However, it does have a lot going on at once in the screen due to its beautiful explosions of geometry, color, and light. Oh, and it also has two game modes: Wave (with 30 waves from chill to intense) and Endless.
