Valkyrie Elysium Free DLC Includes Playable Hildr, Seraphic Gate

During the Square Enix presentation at TGS 2022, the development team for Valkyrie Elysium revealed that the Black Valkyrie, Hildr, will appear as a playable character in the Hildr’s Vengeance DLC. Seraphic Gate and two new difficulty modes (Very Hard and Valkyrie) will also be free DLC content for Valkyrie Elysium. The PC version will come with all three.

Yui Ishikawa voices Hildr, the Black Valkyrie. Ishikawa previously portrayed Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan, 2B in NieR:Automata, and Violet in Violet Evergarden. It is unclear at the moment when in Valkyrie Elysium the Hildr’s Vengeance DLC scenario will take place. More information on Hildr’s play style may appear in the future.

In the original Valkyrie Profile games, Seraphic Gate was an optional dungeon that players could attempt as post-game content. None of the Seraphic Gate dungeons had any connection to the story and instead had more humorous vibes. Valkyrie Elysium may follow this formula with Seraphic Gate appearing after you finish the main story.

There was also information on the Collector’s Edition for Valkyrie Elysium. Aside from the game, you will be able to obtain an art book, the soundtrack, and acrylic stands of Valkyrie and Hildr. When Yui Ishikawa revealed herself as Hildr’s voice actress, she showed off the Hildr acrylic stand. You will also be able to get a serial code for Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. This is available as a separate purchase as well.

Valkyrie Elysium will come out on September 29, 2022, for the PS4 and PS5. It will come out on Windows PC on November 11, 2022.
