The Nintendo Switch version of Valkyria Chronicles 4 was shown off at E3 2018, and while the gameplay is the same between all versions, it seems that there are still a few rough edges in the current build of the game.

USGamer noticed that compromises have been made for the game to run in handheld mode, including loss of details on soldiers and terrain. There are also small framerate dips that are noticeable, though not game-breaking.

Fortunately, Sega is still optimizing and working on the port of the game, which is set to come out on Day 1 for the North American release. Amazon listings peg an October 16, 2018 release window for Valkyria Chronicles 4, which is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is immediately available in Japan.
