Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 Opening Movie Released

The official Aquaplus YouTube account has uploaded the opening movie for Utawarerumono: ZAN 2. Additionally, the final few minutes of the trailer feature a face off between a mysterious figure and one of the protagonists of the Utawarerumono series. This trailer also uses the opening song for the upcoming title and includes various scenes featuring more than a handful of characters. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!]

Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 was recently announced. The upcoming title will feature an entirely revamped battle system, new storylines, and serves as a sequel to Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth. More information about Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 should come at a later date. However, Famitsu recently revealed that an interview with the developers would appear in an upcoming issue of the weekly magazine. This would include character biographies and a look at some of these new systems.

There is currently no word if Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 will receive a Western release or an English localization. However, previous entries in the series were made available to Western audiences through Steam. This includes Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth and Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception.

Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 releases on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 22, 2021 to Japanese audiences.
