Aquaplus president Naoya Shimokawa announced yesterday on Twitter that Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is getting an anime adaptation.

Previously, the original Utawarerumono (which is being remade as Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen) got a full anime adaptation in 2006, and an OVA series in 2009. More recently, in 2015 Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception got an anime adaptation titled Utawarerumono: The False Faces. Presumably, this anime will continue the storyline until the end.

No details on which anime studio is directing the anime for Mask of Truth were revealed.

Aside the anime adaptation announcements, all three games have gotten completely free smartphone versions in Japan that only contain the visual novel story portions, completely cutting out the SRPG gameplay. The story visual novel portions are uncut, and include all music, voice acting that were present in the PS4 games.

Here are links to the games on Google Play Store and Apple Store below. As you might expect, these are only in Japanese:

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
