Bandai announced the prices of its anime and game crossover TCG Union Arena. A starter deck will cost ¥990 (~$7.20), a booster pack will cost ¥385 (~$2.80), and card sleeves will cost ¥900 (~$6.60). You will be able to purchase the first series of Union Arena cards starting on March 24, 2023. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
Union Arena uses characters from various anime series and unifies them under a single set of card game rules. As mentioned earlier, the first set will appear on March 24, 2023. After that, new series will appear as booster packs and starter decks. You can check out the release schedule here:
March 24, 2023
- Code Geass
- Jujutsu Kaisen
- Hunter x Hunter
April 28, 2023
- Demon Slayer
- The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors
May 2023
- Tales of Arise
- That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime
- Bleach
- My Hero Academia
When making your deck, you cannot fuse together cards from different series. For example, you cannot make a deck with cards from both My Hero Academia and Hunter x Hunter. This is likely due to the lack of synergy between those cards. However, Union Arena will let you see battles between characters who would have never fought in their native series. You can make Tanjiro from Demon Slayer beat up Mano Sakuragi of The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors if you wish.
Union Arena TCG will come out in stores in Japan from March 24, 2023.
