Unicorn Overlord Surpasses 1 Million Sales

Unicorn Overlord has surpassed one million units sold worldwide, and to celebrate, Vanillaware has released a commemorative illustration by artist Takashi Noma. The artwork features popular characters from the game. In addition, a free demo of the first five hours of gameplay is available. Progress made in the demo can be carried over to the full version of the game.

To mark the sales milestone, a special sale will take place starting September 25, 2024. Both the standard and Monarch Edition of Unicorn Overlord will be discounted by 30% in the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop. The sale will run until October 9, 2024. The standard edition’s regular price of 8,778 yen (around $60) will be reduced to 6,144 yen (about $42), while the Monarch Edition will drop from 13,178 yen (around $90) to 9,224 yen (about $63)

In related news, back in March 2024, Unicorn Overlord physical copies sold out at retail stores in Japan shortly after its release. Atlus apologized for the unexpected shortage, attributing it to high demand, and encouraged fans to consider digital versions or place reservations for restocks.

Unicorn Overlord is readily available to play on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
