Tikipod has announced that its underwater 2D shmup Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender DX is heading to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on November 26th.

The original Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender was released as PlayStation Mobile title, so this DX version is an enhanced version for consoles, and comes with a few extra features.

The first of which is extra directional fire options so it feels more dynamic as you move across the screen saving kitties from the dastardly robot fish. There will also be large mechanical bosses to defeat at the end of each area that weren’t there before.

If the Normal mode is to hard for you, then you’ll be glad to find out that a new Easy campaign mode option is available in DX. Plus, a new Arcade Mode blends Gradius and Defender, and has you collecting gems to purchase power-up upgrades.

Both the PS4 and PS Vita versions of Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender DX run at 60hz. The PS4 version also renders at full HD 1080p and has an additional local co-op campaign mode.
