Finally, Undertale is heading to the Xbox One. The RPG appeared on platforms like the PC and other consoles before. The Windows and Mac versions launched in 2015, even. But now, it will be available for the first time on Microsoft consoles on March 16, 2021. Not only that, but Undertale will join the Xbox Game Pass library that same day. All Xbox console versions will include some original content.
The announcement offered a hint about what the exclusive content will involve. In the other console versions of the game, people can visit The Dog Shrine at Papyrus and Sans’ house. What is available and happens in each varies. (So in the PS4 and Vita versions, you’ll be able to make donations.) The reveal teased a shrine specific to this version.
However, it also confirmed that this Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass console version of Undertale isn’t a Play Anywhere game. It isn’t compatible with the Windows PC version, so you can’t use save files from one with the other.
Undertale will come to the Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass on March 16, 2021. It is also available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. Its fifth anniversary fell in 2020 and was celebrated with a special concert.
