The script for the Under the Dog anime movie has been completed, anime studio Kinema Citrus said in a project update. Consequently, the movie has now moved to its storyboarding phase.

“Director [Masahiro] Ando is currently hard at work drawing storyboards—converting what’s been described in words into visuals,” Kinema Citrus write. “During that process, some of the lines or even a whole scene may be changed. Literally, the story of Under the Dog is now being re-constructed, scene-by-scene, inside the director’s head!”

Kinema add that they plan on showing off some of the storyboards that Ando has been working on. Additionally, the studio will also share more details on Under the Dog at Sakura Con, where they will host a panel on Sunday, April 5th.
