In Uma Musume Pretty Derby, the girls all have horse ears, a tail, and are super-speedy. Players will compete by racing each other in competitions. The game features full 3D models and animations, plus musical performances by the heroines after winning races. DMM Games also plans to release the title on PCs on March 10, 2021.

Cygames intended for the game to release sometime in 2018, but the company delayed the game for a full three years. During that time, Uma Musume became a multimedia franchise with its own anime TV show, manga, music, and physical goods.

Cygames is no stranger to multimedia and mobile titles. Late in 2020, Cygames released an interview with its localization team on the fun and challenges associated with localizing games like Shadowverse and Granblue Fantasy. It is also behind Princess Connect Re:Dive and Dragalia Lost.

Uma Musume Pretty Derby is available now on iOS and Android devices in Japan. A PC version will release on March 10, 2021.
