Shonen Jump announced the news at this year’s Jump Festa 2022. Both serializations are among several projects celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Naruto series. The announcement tweet also includes two images of each manga adaptation.

Drawing Sasuke Retsuden is Shingo Kimura, who created the Medical Punch and Japonica one-shots. Jun Esaka wrote the original novel back in 2019 and is also the author of other Naruto Retsuden novels. Esaka also wrote the Sasuke Shinden: The Teacher’s Star Pupil novel. The story follows Sasuke and Sakura as they try to find a cure for Naruto, who suffers from an illness preventing him from using chakra. Previously, Viz Media announced the Retsuden novel series would release in English in Summer 2022.

Illustrating Konoha Shinden is Natsuo Sai, who also illustrated Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System and Inspector Shinya Kogami manga series. The story follows Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy as they take a vacation to a hot spring along with their bodyguard, Mirai Sarutobi. Hinata Sho wrote the first light novel in 2016. Shueisha later re-launched the novel as part of a four-novel Shinden series, connecting the events of Naruto and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

The Naruto novels Sasuke Retsuden and Konoha Shinden will receive manga adaptations sometime in 2022. Shonen Jump will release further information at a later date.
