New voice-actors have been chosen for both Batman and the Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins, according to a Joystiq report. Roger Craig Smith is playing Batman, and Troy Baker is taking on the Joker.
Craig has played a number of prominent videogame characters in the past, including Chris Redfield from Resident Evil and Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed. Meanwhile, Baker is known for his performance as Vincent from Catherine and as Joel from Naughty Dog’s next game, The Last of Us.
Meanwhile, the usual that plays Batman, Kevin Conroy, will be lending his voice to Batman: Arkham Origins as well, but it hasn’t been confirmed just what role he will be playing.
Update: Conroy tweeted that he is returning for another Arkham game, but not Arkham Origins. He then deleted his tweet, but Batman News managed to grab a screenshot in time.
Additionally, Warner Bros. have confirmed that Deathstroke will be playable in Batman: Arkham Origins. Pre-ordering the game for PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 will give you access to Deathstroke with his own weapons and special moves. He’ll be playable in all of the game’s challenge maps, as well as two additional challenge maps that will come alongside him. The Deathstroke pack will also include two alternate skins for the character.
Batman: Arkham Origins will be released worldwide on October 25th for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
