Square Enix has revealed that the Trials of Mana remake that is due to release next month will have several new elements, including a ‘New Episode’ where players will get to play around with new Tier 4 classes, as well as a New Game+ mode, plus the return of Li’l Cactus. [Thanks, Game’s Talk!]
New Episode
The ‘New Episode’ is unlocked after the credits for Trials of Mana‘s original story. After finding out of the existence of Tier 4 classes, the protagonists head to various areas in order to strengthen themselves even further. Tier 4 classes also fall into Light and Dark categories, and apart from their looks, they can also use fixed weapons and special attacks.
Here’s a look at each protagonists’ Tier 4 classes below:

Berserker (Dark)
Angela

Spellcaster (Dark)
Kevin

New Game+
If you have clear save data for the New Episode, you’ll become able to play Trials of Mana‘s New Game+. You’ll carry over money, items, Link Abilities, the number of Li’l Cactus you have found*, and other elements (though not all) to your new run of the game.
*Li’l Cactus returns in the remake, and there’s 50 of it hidden all around the world. You’ll get rewards for finding a certain number of it.
Trials of Mana will be released for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC worldwide on April 24, 2020. The game gets a demo on March 18, 2020.
