Trials of Mana Angela and Duran Trailer Shows Off Their English Voice Actors

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

A whole new series of Trials of Mana remake trailers has begun. This time, each one is looking at the sorts of “pairings” present in the game, as each character has another person considered to be something of a default “partner” on their quest. Things kick off in this Trials of Mana Angela and Duran trailer by showing the two heroes’ struggle and common enemy. This gives us a chance to hear its English voice acting as well, though people will be able to choose which audio option they want in the full game.

The gameplay video begins with Duran. He used to be one of the guards in Valsena, but the Crimson Wizard ended up assaulting everyone he cared about. Armed with his father’s sword, he heads out to redeem himself and get revenge. Meanwhile, that same sorcerer was present in the kingdom of Altena when its princess, Angela, was chastised for having no magical talent and threatened with being a sacrifice by her mother. She managed to escape and now has a chance to prove herself and save her kingdom.

The end of this Trials of Mana trailer shows Angela and Duran meeting. It is then that the duo realizes they share a common enemy.

The next Trials of Mana remake character spotlight trailers will focus on Hawkeye and Riesz, then Charlotte and Kevin. In the original game, each of these three pairings had a shared enemy and additional story segments if both were allies. Past solo trailers have looked at people like Charlotte, Kevin, and Hawkeye.

The Trials of Mana remake will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 24, 2020.
