Touhou Project Reveals Wily Beast and Weakest Creature As Its 17th Official Installment

Touhou Project creator ZUN announced the seventeenth official Touhou Project game with Touhou Kikeijuu: Wily Beast and Weakest Creature, which is expected to release for PC this summer.

After learning from friendly animal spirits about a group of other animal spirits in Hell that are plotting to take over the surface world, Reimu, Marisa, and Youmu team up with their allies to preemptively subjugate the potential threat.

Zun describes the game to be darker than usual, with plenty of animal elements, and it’ll focus a bit more on the attacking side of shooting games.

Zun also mentions that if all goes well, a playable demo will be released at the Reitaisai 16 on May 5, 2019.
