CESA started the Tokyo Game Show online streams in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic canceled all physical events worldwide. Although 2023 marks an almost complete return to physical venues, the organizer will still retain many streams from major publishers that air at the global prime time after the venue closes at 5 PM JST (4 AM ET).
The official TGS 2023 channel will also have some glaring omissions with the lack of Bandai Namco and Konami, which will host streams on their own channels. However, Bandai Namco’s subsidiary D3 Publisher will have a presence on the official channel on September 23, 2023.
Tokyo Game Show 2023 will take place physically at Makuhari Messe in Japan on September 21-24, 2023.
