Toki Tori hatches for NA WiiWare launch

Before Two Tribes worked with Worms they developed a Game Boy Color game in 2001 called Toki Tori. When Toki Tori made its retail appearance the Game Boy Advance was already out, which probably didn’t help the poultry protagonist. If you aren’t familiar with the GBC release take a look at the video below to get a feel for Toki Tori.

When WiiWare comes out in North America on May 12^th, a new installment of Toki Tori will be on the Wii Shopping Channel. The graphics have been notably updated and there is a Wii remote control scheme. Otherwise, Two Tribes retains the platformer meets puzzle game combination that made Toki Tori charming in the first place. Returning items include the self-explanatory Telewarp, Bubble Suit and ice block creating Freeze-O-Matic. The InstantRockTM sounds new.
