Recently, novelist Kaworu Kurosaki, who is also the wife of Rurouni Kenshin mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki, was in attendance at a panel at Otakon in Las Vegas.
There, Kurosaki there revealed that her husband is currently working on a brand new spin-off Kenshin manga that will be from the perspective of some of Kenshin’s greatest foes.
Kurosaki asked members in the audience to provide their suggestions on this front, promising to pass them on to Watsuki, and it appears that the two most requested characters were Enishi Yukishiro and Shishio’s fiancée, Yumi.
Hmm… considering we do have Shishio showing up in movie theatres this year for the Kenshin live-action movie, it might be the perfect time indeed for her to be featured in this new manga.
If you can’t wait that long, though, Kenshin is a playable character in J-Stars Victory Vs., which looks set to be as close to the ultimate “What if” beatdown battle as we’re going to get. If you think Kenshin will beat Kurosaki “I’m EVERYTHING” Ichigo from Bleach that is.
