Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D makes use of Streetpass and just like the Nintendo DS games profiles are exchanged when you pass another player. You can battle other monster scouts you meet via Streetpass and in battle you can scout their monsters. That’s basically Dragon Quest Monsters speak for making monsters join your team.

Streetpass profiles have Miis too, which you can customize with various outfits. Square Enix also added online play to Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D with different rules and if you have a bunch of friends nearby you can set up a Grand Prix with up to eight players.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D has a bunch of new monsters from Dragon Quest IX and at least one monster from Dragon Quest X will debut in the Nintendo 3DS game. Kotobukino (pictured below) is from Dragon Quest X. The Rhino Solider is from Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.
