Sony Computer Entertainment and Square Enix came up with a release date for Threads of Fate (known as Dewprism in Japan). Japan and importers with Japanese PlayStation Network accounts can purchase the platformer RPG on June 23.
Threads of Fate follows two characters. Rue, a dull boy that morphs into monsters, and Mint, a bratty magic casting Princess who lost the crown to her sister.
Shinji Hashimoto tweeted the release date today, a week after he showed a video of Threads of Fate running on a PSP. That was… fast. So fast I’m left wondering why Final Fantasy IX and other PlayStation Classics take so long to show up in the States. OK, Sony might be saving Final Fantasy IX for their press conference (it’s also on a Tuesday), but other PsOne games take so long actually appear on PSN.
