Last week, Japan saw a couple surprises in a week that had only a couple big releases in Conan Exiles for PS4 and My Hero One’s Justice on PS4 and Switch, plus a side of Killer and Strawberry for the PS Vita.

The top spot and also first surprise of the week is Conan Exiles taking the #1 spot with 32,117 units sold on the PlayStation 4. The second surprise follows at #2 with My Hero One’s Justice which sold 24,626 units on the… Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco action and anime games have mostly been selling on PS4 over Nintendo Switch, but this time the PS4 version sold significantly less with 16,036 units to chart at #5. The two combined sold 40,652 units.

At #3 we have last week’s top title Minecraft on Switch with a solid 18,234 units sold in the week. Splatoon 2 follows with just ten more sales over My Hero One’s Justice on PS4 with 16,036 units sold to chart at #4.

From #6 all the way to #16 we have a stack of Switch and 3DS titles, but we get the combo-breaker at #17 with Broccoli’s PS Vita otome game Koroshiya to Strawberry, or Killer and Strawberry with 4,532 units sold in the week.

As for hardware sales, you’ll notice a drop across the board, other than the PS4 Pro that saw an increase of about 4,000. This isn’t anything alarming, as the week prior was Obon holidays where people tend to spend more money during their time off. The PS4 sold 14,122 units and the PS4 Pro sold 8,716 units to combine for 22,838 for the PS4 family. The Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware with 46,259 units to make up about 58.2% of all hardware sold in the week. .Going by Media Create’s figures, the Nintendo Switch is currently at 4,850,027 units sold in Japan since its launch in March 3, 2017.
