Last year, SystemSoft Alpha to a break from Moe Moe Niji Taisen and went back to their bread & butter – Daisenryaku. The long running military tactics series was, in SystemSoft Alpha’s words, perfected with Daisenryaku Perfect: Champion of the Battlefield, which was released for PSP last year.

This June, Daisenryaku Perfect is coming to HD consoles. SystemSoft Alpha has a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 port with a few extra features such as online multiplayer and 3D graphics during attack scenes.

OK, that may not appear to be an upgrade, Daisenryaku Perfect: Champion of the Battlefield used sprites on PSP. Here are some comparison screenshots.

Despite SystemSoft Alpha’s push towards realistic tactics, Daisenryaku Perfect’s map editor lets players set up out of the world battles. You can create units like sci-fi style space ships and dragons to fight a fleet of F-22 Raptors.

Daisenryaku Perfect supports up to eight players for online battles over PlayStation Network or Xbox Live. However, the PlayStation 3 version does not have in-game chat.
