Kadokawa announced that it will publish a new Elden Ring novel in Japan. The Japanese novel Shigoto ga Owareba, Ano Shukufuku de will also have an official English title: See You At That Grace After Work.
The novel will tell the story of a Japanese office worker who enjoys playing Elden Ring solo at home and reading the game’s guide websites during office break time. When a senior colleague who also plays the game discovers this worker’s hobbies, the two will start interacting with each other more frequently in both real-life work and the Elden Ring game.
The novel’s author will be Keiichi Hikami, who previously also wrote numerous novels based on Capcom’s Monster Hunter series. The illustrator lack—best known for designing Hololive Production Vtubers Shiranui Flare and Arurandeisu, as well as Fate/Grand Order‘s Okada Izo, Setanta, and Andromeda—will provide images for this novel.
The new Japanese novel will be available with a price tag of ¥1,430 (~$9.50). Pre-orders for physical copies of the novel are also available on Amazon Japan, which supports international shipping. The listing also shows that the hardcover book will have 354 pages.
Elden Ring, the video game that serves as an inspiration for this novel, is immediately available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. The game’s studio FromSoftware is also working on a new DLC titled Shadow of the Erdtree, which will be available on June 21, 2024.
The Elden Ring-themed novel, See You At That Grace After Work, will be available in Japan on March 29, 2024.
