Xseed is getting into WiiWare development with a title we haven’t heard about before. Get ready to meet Drill Sergeant Mindstrong! The ESRB rated the game with an E 10+ and gave the following description.
This is a collection of mini-games (i.e., party games) in which players train and compete in math, rhythm, and reflex/timing drills guided by a trainer named Sergeant Mindstrong. Mini-games include shooting numbered targets according to the sergeant’s instructions; performing timed salutes and “at ease” cues; and marching in time while holding realistic-looking rifles. Each mini-game contains the word hell in the title (e.g., “Hell Roll Call” and “Hell Calculation”), and the drill sergeant sometimes provokes the players by using insulting nicknames (e.g., “Meathead, “Arm Pit,” “Sugar Buns,” “Sissy,” etc.).
A collection of mini-games lead by a drill sergeant…. hmm… Could Drill Sergeant Mindstrong really be a localized version of Discipline: Creation of the Tuning Empire? Marvelous announced the WiiWare title late last year and Xseed does have a co-publishing agreement with Marvelous. We’ll see if we can get anymore details from Xseed about Drill Sergeant Mindstrong since it’s on deck for release.
