Square Enix announced a new Final Fantasy VII soundtrack, and this time it is the FFVII Rebirth Acoustic Arrangements album. It will debut in Japan on March 12, 2025, and the US storefront says we can expect it in April 2025. It will cost ¥3,850 / $30.99, depending on where you buy it. The Amazon Japan exclusive version includes a different jacket as a bonus.
This is a CD filled with 10 songs from the latest game in the remake trilogy with new acoustic versions. There are no samples of the songs on it yet. However, it will only consist of strings performances. Only a physical release is confirmed, as both the English and Japanese versions of the official site tied to it don’t mention any digital debut just yet.
Here’s the full tracklisting for the album:
- “The Unknown Journey Continues”
- “Materia Guardian”
- “Main Theme of FFVII – Battle Edit”
- “Chocobo Grasslands”
- “Sanctuary~Duel with the Divine”
- “Custom Valkyrie”
- “Cosmo Canyon – Sanctum of Planetology”
- “No Promises to Keep – Loveless Ver.”
- “A Wild Cat Chase”
- “Aerith’s Theme – Return to the Planet”
“No Promises to Keep” is the single “performed” by Aerith at the Gold Saucer in-game. It wasn’t mentioned if Loren Allred will return for this song on the new album for a new take on the tune.
