PlatinumGames has provided a The Wonderful 101 Remastered patch that might offer enough of an excuse for people to return to the game. At the very end of July 2020, an update slipped out that basically acts as a quality of life adjustment. When people apply it to the game, they might suddenly hit higher totals on some stages. It could also be easier to play some minigames, as the former dual-screen remnants from the Wii U release have been switch around so what would have been on the Wii U Gamepad will now be larger and easier to see.
Here’s the full list of The Wonderful 101 Remastered patch notes for update 1.0.2., as shared by Platinum on its site. It is immediately available everywhere.
About the update:
- Adjusted scoring for certain stages to allow higher totals
- Switched main and subscreen for easier play in certain mini-games
- Made the subscreen automatically display when going to Operation Select
While this doesn’t do anything about frame rate issues, people can always turn to the SilentPatch for PCs. As a reminder, that was released back in May 2020 by Silent, shortly after the game launched. It gets the game up to 60FPS and also changes the fullscreen-windowed mode toggle from the Esc button to Alt+Enter.
The Wonderful 101 Remastered is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. The original game appeared on the Nintendo Wii U.
