The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival is an enhanced version of the first game by Nippon Ichi. While it adds various new features and a new mode, most of the game is still the same as far as gameplay goes. The latest videos show what some of the basic action looks like on PlayStation 4.
The first video demonstrates a look at what’s like to set up weapons, and switch through them in combat as the Hundred Knight. Different weapons can be strategically equipped to fit various situations. This system is also known as the Tactical Conversion System, which allows you to equip up to five weapons and choose what order they attack in.
The Hundred Knight might look pretty cute, but he has some brutal abilities. By using “Giga Calories” in the game, you can perform special attacks with the Hundred Knight, and you get these Giga Calories by eating enemies.
The third video is basically a short summary of the action you can do in The Witch and the Hundred Knight. There are also other abilities like the Mystical Dodge to slow down time and make a last second evasion, and the Extra Chain, which lets you teleport to the nearest enemy after defeating one.
Additionally, The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival will have a new mode where you get to play as Metallia and go around destroying enemies with her weapon and powerful magic. You can check out our earlier report to get a first look at how she plays.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival will release in Japan on September 25, 2015 for PlayStation 4.
