The second round of closed beta tests for Monster Hunter Now is about to begin. Niantic confirmed that invitations will be sent out to a select number of players who signed up. The first beta test period happened in April 2023.
Players are able to sign up for the second beta test now on the official Monster Hunter Now site. You simply provide your email, date of birth, gender, and region. You will also be asked your device type, but the closed beta will only be available for Android users. This round of beta tests will be limited to 10,000 participants. It’s also the final beta test, so if you’re unable to get into this test, then you’ll have to wait for the full game in September 2023.
Monster Hunter Now is a game similar to Niantic’s other big hit Pokemon GO. However, instead of catching Pokemon, players can find the likes of Rathalos in their neighborhood. Players can battle these monsters from Capcom’s iconic franchise either alone or with a group of friends. This is the third video game franchise Niantic made an AR game out of, after Pokemon GO and Pikmin Bloom. They have also made similar games for Harry Potter, Transformers, Marvel and Settlers of Catan.
Monster Hunter Now is set to release for iOS and Android in September 2023.
