The Pokemon Foundation in Japan has announced that it donated 50 million JPY to help those affected by the 2024 Sea of Japan earthquake that struck Noto Peninsula on January 1, 2024. That would equate to around $345,770.

It expresses sympathy for the victims and prays that they’re able to finish with the rebuilding and recuperating efforts as soon as possible. In order to help them with that, The Pokemon Company has donated 50 million JPY to the Japanese Red Cross Society, as well as local volunteer groups. The Pokemon With You Foundation will also help provide disaster relief so “children in the affected areas can regain their smiles.”
