Nintendo has announced a Nintendo Labo storage solution for Japan. Called the Nintendo Labo Okatazuke Box, which could be roughly translated to the cleanup box, it is a box you build to hold one finished Nintendo Labo kit’s projects. Its official product page is suggesting it will get an April 12, 2019 release date. (Thanks, Tiny Cartridge!)
The Nintendo Labo Okatazuke Box is a cardboard box people can build. It costs 800円 (~$7.24) for one 485mm x 360 mm x 355mm box. Nintendo also noted in its product listing that it has enough room to store one Toy-Con kit and suggests people will need additional boxes for each additional Nintendo Labo set.
There is also a Nintendo Labo Okatazuke Box trailer showing people how to use it with the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit. It shows how to pack each part of the set into the box. Screenshots were also shared showing the box in use, even when it is put into its own storage state and squished flat.
The Nintendo Labo Okatazuke Box has only been confirmed for a Japanese release. Three Nintendo Labo kits have been released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch so far: Toy-Con 01: Variety Kit, Toy-Con 02: Robot Kit, and Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit. The Toy-Con 04: VR Kit will arrive on April 12, 2019.
