The New Pikachu Graduation Items Have Arrived

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Every year, Nintendo tends to release various themed Pikachus to capitalize on special events or occasions. An array of Pikachu graduation items are always among them once spring begins to wane and summer is about to begin. The worldwide Pokemon Center website has now updated with all of its 2020 graduation Pikachu offerings for people in search of gifts or items to plug holes in collections.

The basic offering is, as always, a new Pikachu Celebrations figure that, quite frankly, doesn’t look all that different from the existing variant. It is $17.99, just like its predecessor. The difference is this one holds a beige diploma, rather than a black one.

Some of the items are designed to be practical. There is a $9.99 pack of 10 invitations. Two 15oz. mugs are available in two different designs, one noting the year, for $14.99 each. The $24.99 playmat could be used for a trading card game or as a mouse pad.

There are also two commemorative pin options. One has the two Pikachu graduates from the mugs together for $13.99. (As you can tell by their tails, one is a boy and one is a girl.) The other is a single pin with a greeting card for $7.99.

Here’s a gallery looking at all the items.

As a reminder, another bit of Pikachu art has appeared. A Game Freak art director who has worked on Pokemon Sword and Shield and Harmoknight drew Darth Pika for May the Fourth.
