Mortal Kombat 11’s story trailer is here, and it brings with it an array of character confirmations and time shenanigans. While Johnny Cages from the past and present are the ones to steal the show, we do get to see Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, and Kotal Kahn. Kronika and Geras, the two new characters, also get some screen time.

Kronika notes that she is unsatisfied with the current course of events. She says she is bringing in everyone, from all time periods, who “disdain the current course of history.” People old and new can come back, due to the merging of the past and present. The goal is to defeat Shao Kahn and end the temporal issue. This means the story will involve classic, big shades Johnny Cage working along the more modern, serious soldier version. The goal is to find Kronika’s key, while defeating the legions of enemies appearing.
