We recently learned that Nippon Ichi’s new title The Liar Princess and Blind Prince is headed to PS4, PS Vita, and Switch. This week’s Famitsu magazine has more details on its gameplay and characters. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

Here are some notes about The Liar Princess and Blind Prince:

  • The Liar Princess and Blind Prince is an action game that will have you take the Blind Prince’s hand and lead him through the depths of a forest, filled with all kinds of obstacles.

  • A monster with the appearance of a wolf and a beautiful singing voice hurt the prince’s eyes by accident, after he was drawn to her singing voice. The monster felt remorseful about the whole incident, so she suggests finding “the witch in the forest to heal your eyes.”

  • The monster and princess both have their unique actions. You can for example transform to fight enemies and figure out puzzles and obstacles as you advance through the forest.

Wolf and Princess: A monster with a beautiful singing voice. She offered her singing voice to gain the ability to transform into a black-haired princess. The prince doesn’t know that she’s a monster, as she lies and tells him that she’s a princess from a neighboring country.

Prince: He approaches the wolf after going towards the beautiful singing voice he heard during the night. After mistakenly thinking that the prince saw her appearance, she swipes at the prince, causing him an injury. The king couldn’t stand the look of the prince’s damaged face, so he had him locked up.

Witch: She can make wishes come true as long as one can offer compensation for it.

The Liar Princess and Blind Prince releases in Japan on May 31, 2018 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch. You can check out our previous report for its first images and some in-development footage.
